Asqella Oy, a Finnish company providing discreet people screening solutions for soft target protection and loss prevention, attended UK Security Expo 2017 in London, United Kingdom, on November 29 and 30. The Expo is a premier showcase for security solutions, and had over 10,000 global visitors representing both private and public sectors.
At the Expo, Asqella showcased ARGON, a passive submillimetre-wave camera. ARGON detects explosives, weapons and other threats quickly and can screen over 1,500 people per hour, a throughput that is inaccessible for traditional methods such as walk-through metal detectors and body scanner portals. ARGON created a lot of interest due to its unique technology and appearance. “We had visitors come by all day and everyone was very impressed with the versatility of ARGON”, says Arttu Luukanen, the Managing Director of Asqella. ARGON has several applications, including concert and sports venues, public transportation hubs and government security.
Security exhibitions and other events like the UK Security Expo and ASIS, which Asqella attended earlier in 2017, are a great way to meet potential clients, partners, and others operating in the industry. “We want to get more recognition in the security field as a reliable provider of screening solutions, and therefore attending showcases like these is important to us”, explains Petri Ikonen, the Sales Director of Asqella.
Asqella Oy, based in Helsinki, Finland, sells passive submillimetre-wave video cameras for loss prevention and physical security applications.
